Are you looking for a new car? How about a garbage truck? The city of Flint is selling all twenty of theirs.
It’s all a part of Emergency Financial Manager Mike Brown’s plan to outsource garbage services, but the trucks aren’t for sale just yet. The council is split on the proposed plan. The council members against the plan state that an internal loan would be taken from the sewage plan.
As far as the trucks, Mlive reports that they are going for seventy five thousand dollars each, and if they sell all of them, they will make 1.5 million dollars.
Flint spent 3.1 million dollars on the trucks back in 2006.
