West Nile Virus has been discovered in Saginaw County and Washtenaw County; at least that’s according to a spokesperson from the Michigan Department of Community Health.
The Cadillac News reports that the virus is currently within birds and mosquitos. Mosquitos carrying the virus are often found near open drains, ponds, and large masses of water.
Just last year, 34 serious cases of the West Nile Virus were treated in Michigan.
Remember to use mosquito repellent when in the outdoors.
