Announced at a press release today, police will not be charged on the shooting death of Milton Hall which took place on July 1st.
According to WJRT, 46 shots were made towards
Hall while 10-12 hit the man. These shots were made in self-defense. According to police, Hall was approaching the officers with a knife yelling threatening messages.
Prosecutor Mike Thomas spoke at the lengthy press conference and stated that no crime was commited at the time of the scene, and that tazors were not an option.
Video of the incident and 911-audio was also played at the conference. Stations including
WJRT-TV decided not to air those portions of the press conference due to the
graphic content featured in the video.
