FLINT (MarkHeidemanTV/WEYI) -- The racial discrimination suit filed by nurse Tonya Battles against Hurley Medical Center has been settled.
According to WEYI, the case began when a male patient asked the hospital to not allow black staff members to care for his child.
Previous reports say the request was allegedly granted.
Battles and her lawyer say they are moving forward.
Battles has worked at the hospital for 25 years and will continue to call Hurley her place of employment.
