Governor Rick Snyder signed the anti-bullying bill today and said quote "I'm very proud to be part of this process".
Snyder announced he was bullied as a kid, teenager, and even young adult because he was a "nerd".
Michigan is the 48th state to pass an anti-bullying law. This bill requires schools to enact an anti-bullying policy, but is not specific as far as behavior goes.
This law will take 6 months to pass and will be active during the 2012-13 school year.
